Italy and Luxembourg are called upon to comply with Court's rulings on trade fairs and patent agents

Brussels, 12/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to formally ask Italy to comply with a judgement of the European Court of Justice of 15 January 2002 in relation to trade fairs. The judgement states that restrictions imposed by Italian regional authorities on trade fair organisers hinder the free movement of services and restrict the free exercise of that profession in the EU.
