Commission allows UTC to buy Linde AG's refrigeration arm

Brussels, 12/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has just authorised the acquisition of the refrigeration arm of Linde AG, based in Germany, by the American holding United Technologies Corporation (UTC). Both companies are active in several sectors, including refrigeration, where UTC is represented by its Carrier subsidiaries.

The Commission considers that the operation, which was notified on 9 June, presents no serious risk to competition. After the preliminary inquiry, the Commission...
