Conference on WTO agreement on intellectual property rights

Brussels, 23/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - On 23-24 June the European Commission is hosting an international conference looking back at the functioning of the WTO agreement on intellectual property rights (TRIPS) and examining prospects for the future. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the TRIPS Agreement. Key issues to be addressed include the implications of the TRIPs Agreement for developing countries, enforcement challenges, the interplay between intellectual property and human rights,...
