Three weeks before Irish Nationality referendum, Advocate General Tizzano studies case of Chinese child of Irish nationality by birth, whose mother wishes to live in UK

Luxembourg, 25/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Advocate General is looking into the case of a little Chinese girl, Kunqian Catherine, who became Irish by virtue of her birth in Belfast, and whose Chinese mother wanted to settle in Wales. Antonio Tizzano established that the father had sufficient resources to support his family in the United Kingdom, as the child is fully covered by private insurance, and mother and child may therefore stay in the United Kingdom.
