Hannes Wahlroos of Finland to take over as agency president

Brussels, 25/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - Further to the enforcement, on 20 May 2004, of the new EU pharmaceutical legislation, the board of administration of the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products has elected a new president, Hannes Wahlroos of Finland. A pharmacist by trade, Mr Wahlroos worked for the pharmaceutical industry before holding a public post, mainly as Director of the Finnish Agency on Medicinal Products.
