13/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Lista Bonino MEP Marco Cappato has announced in a press release that the European Ombudsman, Nikoforos Diamandouros, has accepted his complaint against the ban by the Quaestors of the European Parliament, to organise an exhibition on "typical hemp-based products" at the Parliament building in Strasbourg. The ban on an exhibition on "products paid for with European Union funding is a violation of freedom of expression and MEP prerogatives", said the Italian Radical. Mr Cappato states that the Ombudsman has informed President Cox of this complaint, and has invited him to give his opinion by 31 July.
