13/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - Italy has come closer to adoption of the European arrest warrant since the text was approved on Wednesday by its deputies by 202 votes in favour, 157 against and 30 abstentions. Votes against included those of the Lega Norde, whose members include the Justice Minister, Roberto Castelli, who was violently opposed to adoption of the arrest warrant by European justice ministers.
