21/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday evening, the European Parliament refused to add to its agenda the report by Marianne Eriksson (GUE/NGL, Sweden) on the influence of the sex industry in the European Union. German Christian Democrat Doris Pack voiced opposition, on behalf of the EPP-ED Group, to adding the report on the pretext that it contained repetitions and contradictions. The report was an own-initiative report for the last possibility of adoption before the end of the legislature.
