21/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - President Cox announced that Nikolaos Chountis of Greece is to replace, from 15 April on, Alexandros Alavanos (GUE), who resigns after his election to the Greek parliament. The Spanish authorities have announced the designation of Cristina Soriano Gil, José Vila Abello, Enric Xavier Morera I Catala to replace Maria del Carmen Ortiz Rivas, Carlos Ripoll y Martinez de Bedoya and Carles-Alfred Gasoliba I Böhm as members of Parliament as of 2 April 2004.
