EP approves Council's common position on electronic tolls

Strasbourg, 21/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Tuesday, the European Parliament approved the Council's common position on the proposed directive to generalise and make interoperable electronic road toll systems. In its adoption at second reading (codecision) of the recommendation by CDU MEP Renate Sommer, the Parliament made no changes to the Council's common position, and voted for the coexistence of electronic tolls using micro-wave technology, and those using satellite...
