Brussels, 21/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - ON Wednesday the European Commission decided to close investigation procedures into aid for launching new rail and maritime services from and to the Frioul-Venetie Julienne region given that the Italian authorities had withdrawn their project. An investigation had been decided on by the Commission because of the doubts raised about the need and amounts of aid being sought.
