Strasbourg, 21/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday the European Parliament discussed post-2006 EU financial perspectives and economic and social cohesion in the enlarged EU. Discussions were attended by Irish minister for foreign affairs Dick Roche representing the presidency of the Council and Commissioner for agriculture Franz Fischler, which is replacing his colleague Michel Barnier, now French foreign affairs minister (EUROPE yesterday p 5 on Barnier's farewell to MEPs).
