Strasbourg, 21/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - In its adoption, in Strasbourg on Tuesday, of the recommendation by Austrian Christian Democrat Reinhard Rack (codecision, second reading), the European Parliament has approved the Council's common position on the proposed directive setting minimum safety requirements applicable to tunnels in the trans-European road network (TEN). The EP, like its Committee on Transport, made no changes to the Council's common position (EUROPE of 17 April).
