Strasbourg, 21/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament finally, on 21 April, gave discharge to the European Commission for execution of the 2002 budget after having called for a new declaration from the European Executive on the Eurostat affair (see below). The Parliament adopted by 442 votes to 69 and 4 abstentions the discharge decision proposed by Rapporteur Bayona de Perogordo. EUROPE will come back to the different resolutions adopted in plenary.
