11/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - According to DPA, Dutch Foreign Minister Ben Bot has stated that the Dutch government would like Frits Bolkestein to remain a European Commissioner, but that he expected him to state his intentions. If Mr Bolkestein elects to step down (he recently voiced doubts on this), Prime Minister Balkenende's Christian Democrats could present their candidate.
