Brussels, 27/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The most recent snapshot by Eurostat of national investment in Research and Development clearly indicates that the percentage of GDP invested in R&D in the EU is barely increasing. It stood at 1.95% in 2000, 1.98% in 2001 and remained at less than 2% in 2002, despite hitting 2.72% in the United States and 2.98% in Japan in 2000.
