27/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - Peter Straub, President of the Committee of the Regions of the EU, met the head of the Hungarian delegation to the Imre Baros Committee in Budapest on 26 February, Budapest's mayor Gabor Demszky, and Hungarian ministers for national development and regional development, Etele Barath and Sandor Nagy. Straub said he greatly appreciated the Hungarian prime minister, Peter Medgyessy's efforts to achieve greater decentralisation.
