Brussels, 23/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - President Prodi, after having briefly met with the Czech minister for foreign affairs, Cyril Svoboda (who was in Brussels for the General Affairs Council) spoke on the phone to the Czech prime minister, Vladimir Spidla, to discuss procedural and political problems caused by the surprise resignation last Friday of Commissioner designate, Milos Kuzvart (EUROPE 21 February p 7).
