Negotiation with United States on Tuesday and Wednesday - Commission assures Galileo is being set in place "according to plan"

Brussels, 23/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission and the United States will be seeking, on Tuesday and Wednesday in Brussels, to conclude their talks on cooperation between Galileo and GPS. GPS is, with the Russian military Glonass system, the only radionavigation by satellite system with world coverage. The European Galileo project is expected to join the club in 2008.
