23/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Euro-Armenian Federation has criticised the press statement made by Arie Oostlander (EPP, Netherlands), rapporteur on Turkey's progress to EU accession, for having "capitulated to Ankara's inflexibility". In his draft resolution, the rapporteur "evaded…Ankara's aggressive negationism concerning the genocide of Armenians", affirmed the Federation (whereas the Gharton report refers to it).
