Luxembourg, 19/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The French company Schneider Electric has claimed 1,663,734,716 EUR in compensation from the European Commission for the damage it claims it suffered due to the Commission's handling for the "Schneider Legrand" case. The Commission overruled the merger between the groups Schneider Electric and Legrand, France's two largest manufacturers of electrical goods, in a decision of 10 October 2001 (EUROPE of 11 October 2001).
