Parmalat to be discussed on Tuesday - France to look at harmonising tobacco duty

Brussels, 19/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Frits Bolkestein and Italian economics minister Giulio Tremonti will brief ministers on the implications of the Parmalat scandal over dinner on Tuesday at the Ecofin Council. During their working lunch, the ministers will also be discussing the harmonisation of tobacco excuse duty, as requested by France.
