Brussels, 26/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the EP Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs adopted by a large majority the report by its chairperson, German Social Democrat Christa-Randzio-Plath, who calls for the experimental application of reduced VAT rates for labour intensive services to be extended (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.7, on the subject of the Council's agreement on prolonging the system, despite opposition from Commissioner Bolkestein).
