Council decides on Cadarache for ITER

Brussels, 26/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Council of Ministers reached unanimous agreement on the Commission's mandate for negotiations on the hosting of the international experimental reactor, ITER. It has chosen to defend the application of the French site of Cadarache on 4 December, at the forthcoming meeting of parties to the international project. Spain, which had supported the Vandellos site in Catalonia, got the consolation prize: one of the two European directors of the ITER project...
