The British company, BAT, number two in the tobacco market, has merged its US subsidiary BROWN AND WILIAMSON ("Kool", "Pall Mall" and "Misty" brands) with the number two on the US market, RJ REYNOLDS ("Camel" and "Winston" brands). Renamed REYNOLDS AMERICAN, the new company will see BAT's control stand at 42% and 58% controlled by RJ REYNOLDS.
