Hans-Gert Pöttering top of CDU's list

Brussels, 21/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Presidency of the CDU on Monday named Hans-Gert Pöttering, chairman of the EPP-ED group to the European Parliament, top of the list for the Euro-elections of June 2004. Dr Pöttering, who has been an MEP since 1979 and chairman of the group since 1999, announced that he will do all he can to repeat the CDU's success in the European elections of 1999.
