CAP GEMINI, the leading European group for advisory and IT services, has bought up its French rival, TRANSICIEL, that it will merge with its subsidiary, SOGETI. The new entity thus formed will, on the basis of 2002 financial year figures, achieve a turnover above EUR 1.1 billion and will employ over 13,000 in nine countries. The transaction is said to have cost around EUR 230 million.
