17/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Following the failure of the Cancun conference, John Monks, Secretary General of the European Trade Unions Congress (ETUC), has issued a press release in which he calls upon world leaders to show greater resolve than they did in Cancun, and commit, with the help of the EU and the United Nations, to redressing the world situation in terms of development, the fight against poverty and for employment, as well as for employees' rights.
