Commission may oppose draft alliance between Air France, KLM and possibly Alitalia

Brussels, 17/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will pay great attention to a proposal of alliance between the French airline company, Air France, and the Dutch airline, KLM, mainly if the latter incorporates Air France's partner, Alitalia. In a joint press release, Air France and KLM confirmed on Wednesday that they were in "indepth negotiation with a view to intensive cooperation and KLM's simultaneous entry into the Skyteam partnership" to which the French company already...
