Brussels, 17/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, Canada and the EC officially signed their bilateral agreement on trade in wines and spirits at Niagara-on-the-Lake. The text of the bilateral agreement on trade in wines and spirits will terminate the "generic" classification in Canada of 21 EU wine names in three phases: by 31.12.2013 for Chablis, Champagne, Port/Porto and Sherry; by 31.12.2008 for Bourgogne/Burgundy, Rhin/Rhine, Sauterne/Sauternes; and immediately on entry into force of...
