EUR 38 million in aid for building a road linking the west and east of the country

Brussels, 10/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved EUR 38 million aid for the construction of the Santa Cruz - Puerto Suárez road in Bolivia. This road will link the west and east of Bolivia making road transport communication also possible with Brazil. The aim is to promote the economic integration between Bolivia and Brazil and to reach an effective regional integration between the Andean Community and Mercosur countries.
