Partial suspension of Argentinean beef imports because of foot and mouth disease

Brussels, 10/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health (made up of Member States' representatives) voted on Tuesday in favour of measures proposed by the European Commission to suspend imports of beef from regions of Argentina hit by foot and mouth disease. The embargo covers imports from Ramon Lista (Fomosa province), General Jose de San Martin Rivadavia, Organ, Iruya and Santa Victoria (Salta province). Meet from other parts of Argentina not...
