10/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Italian Liberal Paolo Costa (i Democratici) was elected on Tuesday as Chairman of the European Parliament's Committee on Transport. Mr Costa, who was rapporteur on the Commission's White Paper on the pricing of transport infrastructure, takes over from his compatriot, Luciano Caveri, member of the Val d'Aosta Union, who has just been elected president of the Val d'Aosta region.
