10/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - "There is not much risk" that the appointment of Jean-Claude Trichet to the post of President of the European Central Bank (ECB-) will be rejected on Thursday by the parliamentary committee on economic and monetary affairs, the chair of this committee, Christa Randzio-Plath (SPD), said during a press conference on Wednesday. Answering questions on possible consequences due to the fact that the current governor of the Bank of France is being questioned in the Crédit Lyonnais affair, she said: "If the judgement is made, then the matter is closed".
