10/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder is reported by AFP as saying on Wednesday that recovery of the economy should not be sacrificed to meet Stability and Growth Pact criteria at all costs. During a debate at the Bundestag, he said there can be situations where the 3% ceiling should be met but not at the cost of strangling growth.
