Parliament and Council reach agreement at second reading on future Community system for trading emission rights - Confirmation expected in Strasbourg

Brussels, 27/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Parliament and Council reached an agreement on the directive that is to establish, in 2005, a system for the trade of greenhouse gas emission rights between companies of the European Union in application of the Kyoto Protocol on climate change.
