Brussels, 28/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Committee on Social Affairs and Employment has unanimously adopted German Christian Democrat Winfried Menrad's own-initiative report on workers' financial participation in company profits and capital: this is "one of the bases for consolidating the European social model", stated the rapporteur, who emphasised the need to improve the situation in small and medium enterprises (see EUROPE of 25 April, p.17).
