Proposed joint venture between six German banks would not pose State aid problems

Brussels, 28/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - The proposed joint venture between five German commercial banks associated to the public bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) should not pose a problem from the point of view of European rules on State aid, as long as KfW does not provide guarantees for securitisation activities, the European Commission states.
