Tony Blair no interested in becoming President of European Council - In favour of "one polar power"

London, 28/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - Can you say that you wouldn't really want to be full-time President of the European Council? Answering this question, posed by the Financial Times, the British prime minister Tony Blair said: "I can certainly, yes. It is not a job I would want to do, no". At the same time, Blair stressed the importance of the Convention's work since "the way the Council is structured is importance because it will make Europe more effective".
