Human Rights Watch denounces breach of asylum policy rights in the Netherlands

Brussels, 08/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, Human Rights Watch (HRW) is publishing a critical report on asylum policy in the Netherlands. In the report entitled "Fleeting Refuge: The Triumph of Efficiency over Protection in Dutch Asylum Policy", the human rights defence organisation raises concern about recent policies to hasten the processing of asylum claims at the expense of the protection needs of the refugees.
