Spanish group LA SEDA is to acquire, for EUR 35 million, SELENIS (turnover EUR 88 million foreseen in 2003 with 228 employees), the largest Portuguese manufacturer of polyester hitherto held by IMATOSGIL, BARINGS and IBERSUIZAS. The operation will be conducted after a capital increase of EUR 60 million at most.
