Council adopts new rules to protect geographic indications and appellations d'origine for farm products

Luxembourg, 08/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - Following the agreement reached by the Special Agriculture Committees (SAC) (see Europe of 2 April 2003), the Agriculture Council in Luxembourg on Tuesday adopted without debate new rules amending the 1992 regulation on the protection of geographical indications and appellations d'origine for farm products and food.
