13/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - The German Greens announced in Berlin that Germany will take a stance against the release of further funding for nuclear energy in the context of the Euratom budget. Their spokesman for energy, Michaele Ustedt, affirmed that the Greens support the European Commission's intention to help the countries of Eastern Europe dismantle their nuclear reactors, but that they consider the Euratom budgetary line is not a good instrument for achieving this.
