Praesidium examines protocols on subsidiarity and national parliaments - 1038 amendments to preliminary draft articles - Fischer and de Villepin address Constitutional Committee

Brussels, 24/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - As reported in Europe on 20 February, p.5, the European Convention plenary on 27/28 February will examine amendments tabled by Convention Members to the first 16 articles of the future European Convention. Spokesman Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut told reporters that 1038 amendments had been presented, which the Praesidium had divided by subject matter to enable in-depth discussion by Convention Members.
