Thursday, Council to give go-ahead to agreement between Europol and the United States, which could be signed on Friday - Agreement expected on amendment to Europol Convention

Brussels, 18/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - Thursday, the Council should give the go-ahead to the agreement between Europol and the United States on the exchange of data of a personal nature, which could be signed Friday already. The last parliamentary reservation was lifted by France - Tuesday evening by the Senate and Wednesday by the General Assembly. If all goes well, the agreement should be endorsed by the Council.
