Commission continues anti-cartel investigation and fines three companies for price-fixing (nucleotides, speciality graphite and reinforced concrete)

Brussels, 18/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday the European Commission demonstrated its determination to figh illegal agreements by taking puntitive active against three cartels. The first was in the speciality graphit sector, the second in reinforced concrete and the third in nucleotides, a substance used to enhance the flavour in foods. The companies have hree months to pay fines imposed on them.
