30/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - Union Syndicale has sent an open letter to the President of the Committee of the Regions, Albert Bore, asking him to respond in public to the strike threat and the staff assembly's criticisms of the planned internal competition. On the CoR's political bureau, Albert Bore voted against the organisation of the competition (see Europe of 19 October, p.15).
