Commission asks three Member States to rectify breaches of law in awarding contracts

Brussels, 30/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Commission sent formal requests (Reasoned Opinions) to Germany, Italy and Sweden to rectify irregularities in the award of certain public contracts for the purchase of services. In Germany, the breaches of EU law occurred in waste disposal contracts in Landkreis Friesland, for sewage treatment and energy supply in Jever an the development and marketing of a new services park in the city of Limburg.
