Söderman criticises Commission for not paying invoice of EUR 48,000 for work carried out via one of its help desks

Brussels, 29/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - European Ombudsman Jacob Söderman criticises the European Commission for having refused to pay three invoices totalling EUR 48,000 for printing work carried out by a Belgian company, which fell into bankruptcy. The work was commissioned by one of the technical assistance offices (TAO). The Ombudsman, who considers the TAO was acting fully on behalf of the Commission, criticises the latter for not having taken measures given that it had long known that...
