ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) electricity

US company TXU has sold its electricity and gas business in the UK to POWERGEN (German company E.ON) for $ 2.5 billion. This deal will give POWERGEN an extra 5.3 million British clients and production capacity of 2.9 gigawatts of electricity.
